FAQs
OEMDent’s extensive inventory includes five types of internal hex healing caps that are compatible with BlueSkyBio® dental prosthetics. There are a few options to choose from that have different diameters and lengths.
Diameters start at 3.8mm and go up to 6.3mm for maximum versatility and optimal comfort for your patients. Lengths range from 2mm to 7mm across the whole collection, although the smallest and largest diameter varieties have a reduced range.
Each unit costs $13 to buy individually, but discounted rates are available on multiple orders including five or more pieces. You save 5% if you buy more than five BlueSkyBio®compatible healing caps through OEMDent, 10% if you buy more than 10, and 15% if you buy 25 or more.
Healing caps provide essential extra protection for the gums and other soft tissue around the implant site. They give the gums more space to heal and settle, prevent plaque buildup around the implant post, and stop food and other debris from getting into the area and creating an infection.
If you fail to use a compatible healing cap, the fit won’t be right- and even if you can place it, it won’t do its job properly. Using an approved, fully compatible healing cap gives your patients the best comfort and a higher chance of a safe and successful dental surgery recovery.
Finding the right healing cap comes down to the fitting type, and measurements. OEMDent takes a lot of hard work out of the equation by filtering caps by brand, so you need only choose the size and shape you need.
The cap should fit on top of the implant post and be slightly wider than the final dental prosthetic to help the gum shape heal more naturally. You should choose the depth based on the individual patient and the shape of their mouth. OEMDent provides healing caps designed to fit compatible over a range of BlueSkyBio® prosthetics.
The compatible driver for these healing caps is a 1.25mm hex driver. This driver is a widely utilized hex driver size for attaching and adjusting healing caps, abutments, and other implant components, ensuring a secure and precise fit for optimal performance and patient comfort during the healing process.
