FAQs

There are two types of conical healing caps available through OEMDent that are compatible with Alfa Gate dental implants- 3.8mm Narrow Platform and 4.5 Regular Platform caps.

Both types are available in four different sizes (2mm, 3mm, 4mm, and 5mm) for optimal compatibility. You can order individual sizes in any quantity, with discounts, when you buy in bulk.

All units are $13 a piece if you buy fewer than five. There is a 5% discount if you buy between five and nine, a 10% discount for orders of 10-24, and a 15% discount on all orders of 25 conical healing caps or more. You can mix and match different sizes of each style and still qualify for the reduced prices.

All OEMDent Alfa Gate compatible conical healing caps are made from grade-five titanium and are approved for use in professional dental implant surgery.

It is crucial to use a healing cap that is fully compatible with the implant. There are several types of abutment available- including conical. OEMDent provides different platforms and lengths of healing caps to fit with specific implant products from brands such as Alfa Gate.

Matching the conical healing cap size to the size of the dental implant is essential, as an incorrect fitting could lead to complications and reduce the efficacy of the abutment. All are compatible with Alfa Gate implants, but they are not one-size-fits-all by any means.

Conical healing caps are applied on top of the implant site after surgery. They are fitted in a one-step or two-step process, depending on the type of implant they are compatible with. The temporary abutment is connected to the implant in the first healing stage and remains there until the soft tissue around the implant site has healed.

Yes, they do- in more ways than one. First of all, they give the soft tissue space to heal around the implant post once it is fitted. This reduces the chance of irritation and complications with the implant.

Secondly, it prevents plaque, food bits, and other debris from building up around the post. The healing cap provides extra protection for gums by keeping the area cleaner and less susceptible to inflammation and infection.
